… and I’m getting sick of it.
Obama’s ex-pastor, Jeremiah Wright, has been making the rounds in the media. Wright’s biggest splash came at the National Press Club on Monday. You can watch part one of his speech here (The other parts are available from that page).
Wright’s performance has elicited this strongly worded condemnation from Obama:
But [...]

According to New York Magazine, the shoe industry has been killing our feet for years!
To back up their claim, they have these awesome—yet creepy—photographs of painted on shoes:
So here’s the rundown: Thousands of years of evolution have pretty much perfected our feet and the way we walk. By saddling ourselves with these crazy contraptions known [...]

Hillary Clinton is calling for another debate between her and Barack Obama. In the wake of the awful ABC debate, the Clinton campaign is suggesting a different format:
In the spirit of the Lincoln-Douglas debates, we make this proposal:
Senator Clinton and Senator Obama will participate in a 90-minute debate in an open public forum. Just the [...]

(Updated below)
Let me set the scene. It’s the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Phoenix vs. San Antonio. Game 2, late 3rd quarter. The Spurs are up by a handful of points and they start fouling Shaq away from the ball.
The infamous Hack-a-Shaq returns.

Count me among those who think that energy independence is a justified goal for the United States. After reading this article by Peter Kiernan I’m not so sure.

MSNBC is projecting that Hillary Clinton has defeated Barack Obama in today’s Pennsylvania primary. Now we wait to find out how big the victory is…
Update 12:20am
It looks like Hillary won by about 10%. Just enough to keep the race going, not enough to change anything. Goodnight.
The morning after
I agree with Yglesias:
All the superdelegates should just [...]

Today is the day. Pennsylvania is voting for the Democratic nominee and unless Obama wins, which is extremely unlikely, the race will go on. The attacks will continue. The media will continue to numb us with their inane coverage. And I will continue to make these wonderfully insightful posts about the whole thing. You’re welcome.
In [...]

“Some will call this a backward-looking distraction, but only by fully understanding what Mr. Bush has done over eight years to distort the rule of law and violate civil liberties and human rights can Americans ever hope to repair the damage and ensure it does not happen again.”
The New York Times finally bothered to discuss [...]

If you’ve been roaming around the political blogosphere (oh how I hate that word!) you probably noticed quite a firestorm about ABC’s Democratic Debate that took place Wednesday night.
My take: Obama got destroyed. He’s the front-runner and predictably ended up taking the brunt of the so-called “tough” questions which were amplified by Clinton’s own attacks. [...]

You know how I know our country is a little screwed up these days? THE PRESIDENT APPROVED THE TORTURE OF DETAINEES AND NO ONE IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS TALKING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn’t this at least as big a problem as cheating on your wife in the White House? Or, you know, trying to steal secrets [...]
