While I was putting away groceries last night, I caught a glimpse of Hardball on MSNBC. Chris Matthews has been taking a break, so Mike Barnicle (great name) was guest-hosting.
Barnicle had an unremarkable panel of pundits at his disposal and the topic moved to a quote from Obama at a recent fund-raising event:

Obama’s speech in front of 200k in Germany yesterday:

It was a pretty good speech. Full of his usual high minded rhetoric about coming together for change. It also had a call to action for our NATO allies: Send more troops to Afghanistan!

I’ve discovered the reason so many Americans (particularly of the conservative/Republican persuasion) are opposed to gay-marriage.
It’s simple. Their own marriages were unfulfilling and dreadful so they feared being outplayed at their once exclusive game.
